From February 26 to 29, you can find us again at the most influential global exhibition for the connectivity industry: Mobile World Congress 2024. This incredible event has seen Validated ID grow and evolve over the years as a Provider of secure and reliable electronic identification and trust services across the EU. And once again, we are lucky to have been selected to attend by Red.es.
Red.es is the public business entity of the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda (MINETAD) that depends on the Secretary of State for the Information Society and Digital Agenda (SESIAD) after the call launched by 4YFN (4 Years From Now) — the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation's launch business platform, which allows startups, investors, corporations and public institutions to discover, create and launch new businesses together.

Without leaving aside the already consolidated VIDsigner solution for remote, biometric, and centralized digital and electronic signature — which will also be very present —, this year, the main novelty will be the presentation of our entire range of decentralized identity solutions and self-managed verifiable credentials based in the new eIDAS 2 Regulation.
If you're unfamiliar with self-managed identity, it's worth noting that it is the next level of digital identity and offers unparalleled benefits for organizations and users.
It is essential to mention that all of our solutions — including our identity wallet VIDwallet — are designed to comply with the new eIDAS 2 (electronic IDentification, Authentication, and Trust Services 2) regulatory framework. This proposal arises from a study by the European Commission aimed at improving the deficiencies of the current eIDAS Regulation, as well as its low implementation in the public sector.
The eIDAS 2 Regulation is designed to provide everyone, including individuals and businesses, with secure and reliable electronic identification and authentication. Under this regulation, Member States will have to issue at least one European Digital Identity Wallet in a mobile application format within 24 months of its entry into force, replacing traditional username and password systems.
